Hi!
I'm Wendi.
This blog will be dedicated to my efforts to study and apply the teachings of the Book of Mormon in my life.
I currently keep a scripture journal with my thoughts and musings but I want to share them with others.
A couple of ground rules:
1. No bashing. I am not keeping this blog to have major doctrinal bashes. These are simply my observations and my thoughts on how I feel I should apply them to my life. So, if you choose to leave a mean or nasty comment--DELETE!
2. These are MY thoughts. I would appreciate and even welcome your additional insight and application.
3. Oh---I'm not a good writer at all. I'm sure there will be many grammatical and spelling errors. I'll do my very best to use "you're" and "your" correctly. Sometimes my brain and my fingers don't get together to write the right wrong. It's all good though. I'm sure you'll understand my intentions.
4. I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Finland over 20 years ago. One thing I did learn is that you just try to speak and the message is received if both the speaker and the listener are trying to understand one another. I'll be taking that approach here. Though, I won't be writing in Finnish.
5. I attempt to have a sense of humor. I do tend to be a bit irreverent at times. That's ok too. I'm currently serving as a Relief Society President so I guess God's ok with that side of me.
6. I'm going to start writing on the blog where I currently am in the Book of Mormon. I won't be starting at the beginning of the book. Just didn't want to throw you.
7. I LOVE THE BOOK OF MORMON! I do know it is the word of God. I'm grateful for it. I love to read the Book of Mormon. So many of my questions have been answered because of my efforts to read and understand the doctrines and principles taught within it's pages. I do invite you to read it. To look beyond the words. How can you apply the stories to your life? That's the ultimate goal here.
That's about it. I do hope you'll enjoy this journey with me.
